I've been playing with the photos I took in the previous post to help me wind down at the end of the day. I really like how they turned out. I want to try to get prints made of some of them.

I tried to go for a trail ride Sunday, but the snow was too deep! It was up to Cody's knees, and just firm enough that she was getting tripped up in it. It was not like the light powdery stuff we rode in a few weeks ago before the most recent snow and 1 warm day. And the road was too slippery to ride on. This has been one of the coldest winters I can remember here in Wisconsin. Daily highs this last January were lucky to break into the teens, and the wind has been unrelenting. Even so, the horses are doing fine. They might be eating more hay than they usually do, but they are fat and sassy and wanted to run around in the cold sun today.

Cody and Stormy resting, and waiting for feeding time. Picture taken from in the house. They didn't know I was stalking them.
There is activity around the house. They sense it and Cody comes down to the fenceline.
Now outside, they wait impatiently. I'm glad my husband is plowing our yard this year. It makes feeding so much easier!
