She was body clipped and they were there! My black and white Paint gets dapples, actually they look more prominent this year. You can actually see them in the white areas, I had to double look once she was all shed out, I couldn't believe what I was seeing!Paint Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05095673661149903754noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7830461055504948600.post-11216043212822680012010-05-14T08:29:44.272-05:002010-05-14T08:29:44.272-05:00You're right, a lot has gone on--sorry about y...You're right, a lot has gone on--sorry about your dog. And I think some dilute genes, like dun, won't allow dapples to show, but the creme dilution will. It's very complicated. But yes, very interesting. It's also compiled with diet. I hear dapples means a healthy coat.Karahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17723871612780795334noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7830461055504948600.post-20650680427626228242010-05-14T06:08:10.429-05:002010-05-14T06:08:10.429-05:00All three of mine have dapples already, and two of...All three of mine have dapples already, and two of them don't usually have many. Maisie always has full-body dapples. I think the genetics of horse colors are very interesting, although I don't understand them very well.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
