If she's as sensitive and shy as Catlow, it probably would just fine to do closeup work and stay away from lunging for a while.Karahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17723871612780795334noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7830461055504948600.post-58937092987249321342008-12-28T17:48:00.000-06:002008-12-28T17:48:00.000-06:00Catlow sounds a lot like my sister's pinto mare. ...Catlow sounds a lot like my sister's pinto mare. She will figure out how to do things and do them nicely, then suddenly she'll get heavy and unresponsive. She shuts down. She will usually give a warning that she's feeling over-stimulated - she flaps her lips. But she doesn't always do that, sometimes she just shuts down. It's a challenge, and demands creativity in training.

I'm enjoying reading this, it's making me want to get out there and work with Bella. She's been on the back burner for a long time. It's hard to want to do anything in this weather though. And Bella is still showing signs of lameness so even if I did work with her it would have to be low-key with little or no circle work.Andrea -Mustang Sagahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00576342393431178404noreply@blogger.com
